Our History

Our story begins in 1972 when our father, fond of sailing, saw with a friend this piece of land, at that time a wild but beautiful place and fell madly in love with it…. he decided to buy a piece of land… and from there a colossal enterprise began.
At the beginning it was not at all  easy  for us daughters to get used to this new reality….we were little girls…he was pursuing his dream….his enthusiasm…nothing could stop him….at the beginning it was fun….we had so much fun working… the first tourists….the enthusiasm of this new adventure…some people of Tuoro came to work here, they were surprised, and  I think they took our father as a fool because with such an important activity in the center of Perugia, a famous electronics store in Sant’Ercolano Street, there was no need to invest in a place at that time touristically unknown. Here he met two friends, really precious, Rodolfo and Pierino . Among the first people who came to work here there was Alberto, who later became the night guard….also called Alberto, “ the wolf”….an institution… our dad never stopped doing new things…creating with that contagious enthusiasm that always distinguished him and our mother Iole always supported him. We used to organize dinners together with our guests which became friends and Alberto “the sheriff” used to accompany them….whereas I used to bring them to Ferruccio Lamborghini who came at that time to live in Panicarola where there was his cars museum and the visit to the wineries….and Mr Lamborghini himself used to sign the wine bottles to our guests. So many unforgettable memories that are good for the heart…he left from the historic center of Perugia to Trasimeno Lake, aware that one day the shops in the historic center would have suffered with the arrival of the shopping centres. He realized this already in the 1970s and he was brave enough to start a brand-new adventure. We are grown up here in Punta Navaccia…. The guests became friends…and we started this business with passion, love and professionalism, having fun…and then there was our boat, the Punta Navaccia, a real institution…we used to take guests for a swim between the two islands and tell them the history of the lake and its islands…and they came back happy…
