The Ciclovia del Lago Trasimeno (Lake Trasimeno Cycle Route) is a ring-route of about 58 km that runs along the shores of the lake, offering breathtaking views of calm waters, reed beds and picturesque villages. The mostly flat route alternates between asphalt and dirt roads, making it ideal for cyclists of all levels. Along the route, you pass through charming towns such as Passignano sul Trasimeno, San Feliciano and Castiglione del Lago, where you can make refreshing stops and immerse yourself in the local culture. The cycle route is well signposted and accessible from various points, with parking spaces and services nearby. It is advisable to travel it clockwise for greater safety and to fully enjoy the natural and historical beauty that the area offers.

The Cultural Association L’Olivo e la Ginestra has deep roots, a long history born from friendship and an intense love for the natural landscape and the signs that humanity has wisely left upon it. For over 20 years, we have been organizing daily and multi-day excursions in Umbria and the rest of Italy, with the goal of making places and stories known and valued in a slow and passionate way.

We promote healthy lifestyles with an ethical and eco-sustainable approach, focusing on the preservation and enhancement of agricultural products, local food and wine cultures, popular traditions, and eco-museums. For us, walking together is an adventure of the body, mind, and emotions, of sounds and words, of taste and flavors. Walking is opening oneself to the world, to a different way of seeing—slow and deep; it is listening to sounds we often do not perceive because we are distracted by artificial noises; it is chasing spaces, shapes, and desires.
